About the Recipe
This drink is awesome and not nearly as sweet tasting as the ingredients may lead you to believe. The lemon juice counters that and makes this a very light cocktail. I prefer the "Ms. Better's Bitters" over the traditional "egg white" for the foaming agent as it is easier to use with no added taste or calories. "North Italian" restaurant will have their version of this on their seasonal cocktail menu. Try it!
Ingredients
3 oz Gin
1/4 oz Grenadine Syrup
1/2 oz Raspberry Syrup
1 oz Fresh lemon juice
1 egg white or 1/3 dropper Ms. Better's Bitters
Preparation
Step 1
Add the gin, grenadine syrup, raspberry syrup, lemon juice, and egg white (or Ms. Better's Bitters) to a cocktail shaker without ice.
Step 2
Shake for 15 seconds.
Step 3
Add the ice to the cocktail shaker and shake again for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist or fresh raspberries.
