About the Recipe

Margaritas lend themselves to fruit forward flavors and they can be either on the rocks or frozen just depending on your mood. If frozen, don't forget the floater and make it a party!

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ oz Tequila Blanco

  • 2 ½ oz Blood orange or fresh orange juice

  • 1 oz Lime Juice

  • 1 oz Cointreau

Preparation

Rim glass with Salt. Add ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake until chilled and strain into glass.

To make a batch, use these measurements:

  • 1 Quart Blood Orange

  • 1 ½ cups Lime Juice

  • 1 ½ cups Cointreau

  • 3 ½ cups Tequila Blanco

To a large pitcher, add ingredients and stir. Chill for at least 30 minutes. Add large ice cubes in ice bag to chill.

Combine all in blender and blend until smooth. Strain over ice.

Of course you can make this a frozen margarita. Ice can be added to the blender but add it slowly while blending until you achieve a smooth and silky texture. And, for frozen margaritas, who doesn't love a little floater of grand manier or cointreau?
